Progress Group is a family-owned and operated construction, renovation and custom home building company serving the communities along the Sunshine Coast.  Operating out of Gibsons, we serve the entire Sunshine Coast. With over 23 years experience in the construction industry our core values of honesty, respect and integrity shine through on every single project.

Starting out in 1998 in North Vancouver and operating as Hunter Home Works, we provided our clients with residential and commercial renovation, construction, repair and property maintenance services.  In 2007, we decided to move our home and our business to the beautiful Sunshine Coast and we absolutely love it here! We quickly outgrew our humble beginnings and have expanded to better serve our clients and fulfill their needs.

Our team of local employees, trades people and suppliers love what we do and strive to provide the best service, quality work and experience with every project. We always support local when we can.  No project is too big or too small for Progress Group.

We are using the latest building software to allow our clients to be able to log in anywhere in the world to check the progress of their project, everything from budgets, to change orders and up to date photographs.

Shane Hunter

Owner

Shane Hunter is the founder of Progress Group. He has been the industry for 25 years. Shane has a background in carpentry and afters 10 years in the industry as an employee he decided to venture off to the Sunshine Coast and start his own company. That company was Hunter Home Works, which 3 years ago became the company we are today, Progress Group. When Shane isn’t working you will find him spending quality time camping with his family.

Jamie Strain

Construction Manager

Jamie Strain is our Construction Manager. Jamie has an extensive background in Construction, Renovations, Estimating and Project Management. He excels at running projects that finish on time and on budget. On the weekends Jamie likes to head out quading with his wife and 2 sons.

Krista Hartt

Operations and Marketing Manager

Krista Hartt is our Operations and Marketing Manager. Krista came to us with a strong background with coordinating large scale projects and online marketing. She has settled in and been rocking out the growth, expansion and smooth operation of the company. On Krista’s spare time you’ll find her checking out the many amazing mountain biking trails the sunshine coast has to offer or at the beach with her wife and dog.

Alayna Josephson

Accounting Department Manager

Alayna Josephson is our Accounting Department Manager. She is our number wiz, with over 25 years of experience, she ensures the projects stay on budget and invoices are sent out correctly in a timely and professional manner. In the evenings you will find Alayna watching hockey yelling at her TV, Go Bears GO!!
